Xu Chuanxiang, female, born in 1966, is from Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province. In 2011, participated in the training course of "Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Guide". Xu Chuanxiang was my student during the calligraphy and painting training class at the "Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Guide". In recent years, she has shown many remarkable achievements in traditional Chinese painting creation.

 

In landscape works, the colors of plants and trees are elegant, and the texture of rocks and rocks is quite ancient, which is in line with the theory of "painting landscapes, first taking inspiration from the charm". The atmosphere of the picture is gentle and elegant; Or create a hazy atmosphere amidst the majestic mountain terrain, with ink and brush that are lush and smooth, reflecting the idea that "ink and brush should follow the times, and the charm must be passed down from ancient to modern times"; The fan-shaped landscape and large-scale ink wash landscape reflect the spatial pursuit of "thousands of miles within reach" in their layout, especially the blank space and ink color hierarchy of ink wash landscape, showcasing your understanding and application of "ink is divided into five colors", and constructing a distant landscape atmosphere in the interweaving of black, white, and gray.

 

In the works of flowers and birds, the brushwork is unrestrained and dynamic, such as the simple and vivid design of a rooster, and the appropriate shades of sunflower ink, which embodies the theme of "freehand brushwork, ink flying, and full of interest". This shows that she has a solid foundation in the expressive power of flower and bird freehand brushwork.

 

Art knows no bounds. In the "bone technique" of landscape painting, the strength and variation of lines can be further strengthened. As Jing Hao of the Five Dynasties said, "With the preparation of tendons, flesh, bones, and qi, the strokes are full of charm," making the lines of mountains, rocks, and trees more imbued with the flavor of gold and stone; In the "management position" of the picture, the elements of some works can be further considered to make the picture more rhythmic with a sense of "starting, going, turning and combining". I believe that Xu Chuanxiang will have a more outstanding artistic presentation in traditional Chinese painting creation.
