Three calligraphers go to Pingtian to 'write and have tea'

On September 28th, the "Writing and Drinking Tea - Pingtian Three Person Calligraphy Exhibition" was held in Pingtian Calligraphy Village, Sidu Township, Songyang. This exhibition is hosted by the Propaganda Department of the Songyang County Committee of the Communist Party of China, organized by the Songyang County Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the Sidu Township People's Government of Songyang County, and co organized by the Songyang County Calligraphers Association and Zhejiang Pingtian Calligraphy Village. The exhibition showcased 60 exquisite calligraphy works by three calligraphers, He Difei, Wu Yuyu, and Li Zhiwei.

 

Ye Bojun, member of the Standing Committee of the Lishui Municipal Party Committee and Minister of the Propaganda Department, announced the opening of the exhibition. Liang Haigang, Secretary of the Songyang County Committee of the Communist Party of China, and He Difei, Director of the China Book Association and Vice Chairman and Secretary General of the Zhejiang Book Association, delivered speeches successively. Li Wei, member of the Standing Committee of the Songyang County Committee of the Communist Party of China and Minister of the Propaganda Department, presided over the opening ceremony.

 

Three calligraphers, with green mountains as the scenery and tea fragrance as the rhyme, not only inherit traditional calligraphy art, but also express the local customs of Songyang, bringing calligraphy art to the mountains and the people.

 

He Difei stated that this exhibition is not only an artist's creation, but also a vivid practice of "art endows beautiful countryside"; It is not only about creating literary and artistic works that are popular among farmers, but also creatively utilizing homestays as a unique cultural space in Songyang, gathering more high-quality resources and better benefiting farmers.

 

In recent years, based on its profound historical and cultural heritage and rich traditional village resources, Songyang has implemented the "Art Village Construction" project around the concept of "artistic living and artistic living", activating rural resources, empowering rural revitalization, and beautifying the rural environment through literary and artistic means, further enhancing the aesthetic charm and cultural taste of rural areas.

 

The exhibition was held in Pingtian Village, which is a national level traditional village, a calligraphy village in Zhejiang Province, and a characteristic village of Lishui Art Township. Through the implementation of the "Artist Residency Plan", many calligraphy artists were attracted to settle in and establish the "Pingtian Book Society". A series of calligraphy carving exhibitions, lectures, and other exchange activities were held, which not only enriched the rural cultural and artistic space, improved the cultural experience of tourists, but also enriched the local villagers' "brains" and "pockets".

 

It is worth mentioning that all the works in this exhibition will be donated to the local area, and will empower the development of rural industries in various forms, integrate into the construction of beautiful countryside, and promote rural revitalization with cultural power.
