Combining cultural tourism with calligraphy

On the 10th of the month, guided by the Shanxi Calligraphers Association and hosted by the Propaganda Department of the Huguan County Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Huguan County Cultural and Tourism Bureau, the "Baiyun Feichu Huguan · Huguan Cultural Tourism Taiyuan Promotion Conference and Huguan Calligraphy Jin Province Report Exhibition" opened at the Taiyuan Art Museum. This event combines cultural and tourism promotion with calligraphy exhibitions to comprehensively showcase the natural and cultural charm of Huguan.

 

Huguan County is located in the hinterland of Taihang Mountains and is known as the "hometown of poetry" and "source of calligraphy and painting". The mountains and rivers are beautiful, and the cultural heritage is profound. It is the place where the founder of regular script, Zhong Yao, studied calligraphy. In history, Wang Xizhi, Cao Cao, and others have had an inseparable relationship with Huguan. In addition, Huguan also has multiple national level intangible cultural heritage and cultural relics protection units, and is a tourist destination that integrates natural scenery and cultural history.

 

The Calligraphy Exhibition of Jin Province showcases 128 exquisite works created by 32 calligraphers from Huguan, covering various calligraphic styles such as seal script, clerical script, regular script, cursive script, and cursive script. The theme revolves around three major sections: "pacifying the past and history", "releasing emotions and cultural tourism", and "emotional and health preservation". It is rooted in tradition and full of contemporary atmosphere, vividly demonstrating Huguan's profound cultural heritage and artistic innovation vitality.

 

This is an important measure taken by Huguan to promote the practice of "shaping tourism with culture and highlighting culture with tourism". Through the organic combination of calligraphy art and cultural tourism resources, Huguan's cultural soft power and regional influence have been effectively enhanced, injecting new momentum into the high-quality development of Shanxi's literature and art. A seminar will be held concurrently with the exhibition, where experts and scholars will engage in in-depth discussions on the path of integrating the development of Huguan culture and tourism with calligraphy art creation.
