Sketching Public Education Activity Achievement Exhib

In 2023, Zhejiang Art Museum kicked off the art of sketching with a unique exhibition titled "Why Sketching - Research on Collected Sketching Art". This exhibition showcases approximately 380 pieces (groups) of paintings and a wealth of literature, images, and videos, delving into the intrinsic artistic value of sketching and its multidimensional relationship with creative life. The success of the exhibition lies not only in presenting us with a visual feast, but also in inspiring the public's strong interest and enthusiasm for sketching art.

Starting from this, in 2024, Zhejiang Art Museum will continue to deepen the influence of sketching art and launch the "Sketching as a Way of Life" public education activity, further extending and expanding this concept. This activity aims to bring sketching from the exhibition halls of art museums into the daily lives of the public, making it a bridge connecting art and life, and inspiring creativity and imagination. The event received strong support from the Hangzhou Basic Education Research Office and the Sports and Art Education Teaching Department of Zhejiang University City College. Encourage the whole society to participate in sketching through courses, lectures, exhibitions, creations, behaviors, and other channels, making sketching a way of life, a way to record life, express emotions, and enhance aesthetics. It is worth mentioning that with the deepening of the "Sketching as a Way of Life" public education campaign, more and more social groups are beginning to participate in sketching life.

In terms of exhibition content, the organizers carefully selected classic sketches by renowned artists from their collection, which not only have high artistic value, but also contain rich emotions and ideas. They not only showcase the individual talents of artists, but also inherit and promote the spirit of sketching art. At the same time, the audience was also invited to participate in sketch creation. The West Lake Character Sketching Team, Hangzhou Normal University Academy of Fine Arts, Zhejiang Education Science Research Institute Affiliated Primary School, Zhejiang Hangzhou No.7 Middle School, Hangzhou Qiushi Education Group, Hangzhou Qianjiang Foreign Language Experimental School, Hangzhou Maiyuqiao Primary School Education Group, and others actively submitted their works. Through exhibitions, their works complement the classics of famous artists, together forming a vivid sketch of life.

The exhibition of the results of the public education activity "Sketching as a Way of Life" not only presents us with a visual and spiritual feast, but also provides us with an opportunity to reflect on the relationship between art and life.
