Liu Sulan, born in February 1936, is from Yishui County, Shandong Province. Former senior engineer of Fuxin Mining Bureau in Liaoning Province, specializing in traditional Chinese painting creation after retirement, awarded the title of "First Class Calligrapher and Painter" (certificate number: SHS151033); Appointed as the Vice President of the Chinese Painting Academy at Beijing Global Hanmo Culture and Art Institute in May 2021.

Long term employment at Fuxin Mining Bureau in Liaoning Province, deeply cultivating the field of mining engineering technology, and promoted to senior engineer with solid professional foundation and rich practical experience. The only female blasting committee member in the coal department. In 1987, the leading research project "Wangjiayingzi Lijing-650 Auxiliary Well Matoumen Damage Reinforcement and Monitoring Project" won the third prize of the Ministry of Coal Science and Technology Progress.

In 1991, her personal professional achievements were included in the "Encyclopedia of Chinese Engineer Celebrities" edited by Zhang Guangdou and honorary edited by Yan Jici, published by Hubei Science and Technology Press. She became one of the few female engineers selected in the technical field of the coal industry at that time, and her professional abilities and industry influence were recognized by authorities.

Since 2003, I have been systematically studying traditional Chinese painting at Fuxin Senior University, officially beginning my artistic career. In the following decade, he persisted in deep cultivation, continuously polishing the brush and ink techniques, color matching, and traditional artistic conception of flower and bird themes, gradually forming a personal style of "delicate brush and ink, vivid charm". He was particularly skilled in painting themes such as peonies and lotus flowers, and his works combined the essence of traditional literati painting with a sense of life.
