2025-10-25 20:55:26 Art weekly
Bringing together 61 units from 22 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions across the country, a total of 362 pieces/sets (490 pieces) of exhibits are on display, including 139 pieces/sets (197 pieces) of national first-class cultural relics. The special exhibition "Jinyao Jiuzhou - Civilization Imprints of Ancient Chinese Gold and Silver Artifacts", jointly organized by Anhui Museum (Anhui Provincial Cultural Relics Appraisal Station), Science Press, and Anhui Radio and Television Media Industry Group, is currently on display at the Shushan Hall of Anhui Museum. This is the largest gold and silverware exhibition ever held in Anhui, and also the temporary exhibition that gathers the most precious cultural relics.

The exhibition takes China's earliest gold jewelry as the starting point, showcasing exquisite cultural relics from important national sites such as Sanxingdui, Jinsha, Wuwangdun, Yanxiadu, Haihun Hou, Hejiacun, Famen Temple, Jiangkou Chenyin, and Ming Dingling. These gold and silver utensils not only carry the etiquette, beliefs, and aesthetics of the Chinese nation, but also deeply imprint the ancient imprint of Chinese civilization. Every decoration and detail exudes the creativity and confidence of the nation. Their brilliant radiance is the collision of ancient wisdom and the splendor of the times, showcasing the national spirit and also indicating the majestic charm.

The exhibition spans thousands of years and starts with the gold earrings unearthed from the Huoshaogou site in Yumen, Gansu. It follows the four major chapters of "Jinggong Decoration Chronicle", "Qi Zai Wan Xiang", "Wealth Scale", and "Wan Xiang Guanghua". The exhibition not only systematically sorted out the multiple core values of gold and silver artifacts in ancient society, but also clearly outlined the historical context of Chinese gold and silver art from its infancy to its peak.

The exhibition will continue until January 6, 2026.
