李会召Li Huizhao

Li Huizhao, pen name Songtao, courtesy name Chenku, male Han nationality, born in 1944, from Qingxi Village, Huiguo Town, Gongyi City, Henan Province. I have had a passion for calligraphy and painting since childhood. In 1962, I studied painting and calligraphy under the tutelage of Li Gongtao, the father of Han Yuan Stele Forest in Kaifeng, China, who is known as the "Yu Gong of Chinese Culture". Due to his special love for Chinese seal script, under the careful cultivation and guidance of Professor Gongtao, he wrote a new style of Chinese seal script - Dou Seal Script, also known as Drip Seal Script. His works have been highly praised by Professor Li Gongtao and loved and collected by many people. He won the "Qinyuan Spring" Work Award at the 4th Farmers' Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition of Gongyi City Culture, Radio, Television, Press and Publication Bureau and Gongyi City Cultural Center in 2015. In October 2016, he won the Best Creation Award at the 3rd National Middle aged and Elderly Innovative Calligraphy and Painting Competition. He is a member of Gongyi Calligraphers Association, China Elderly Calligraphy and Painting Society, and Gongyi Artists Association.
