Zhao Guohui, styled Zongyi. Born in 1954. He is from Jiyuan City, Henan Province. Graduated from the Art Department of Henan Normal University in his early years. Later on, he switched from teaching to politics. The book masters are from Li Xiubin, Li Bin, and Zhou Jianchu. Xi Hua listened to the teachings of masters such as Huo Chunyang, Wang Chengxi, and Huang Yongyu. Traditional framing is taught by Professor Yang Qiyun from Rongbaozhai. In recent years, calligraphy and painting works have held joint exhibitions in South Korea, Thailand, and Singapore. I have held solo exhibitions in Tianjin, Wuhan, Hefei, Henan and other places. The overpaid works are collected by both enterprises and individuals. The published books include "Hua Jia Wen Hua", "Lao Zhao Hua Hua Hua Hua Hua", "Calligraphy Supermarket", "Pillow on the Stream Mountain", "Listening to Lotus Collection", and "A Variety of Comics and Essays". I am currently a contracted calligrapher and painter for the Calligraphy Newspaper, a member of the Art Friends Association of the China Book Pictorial, and the president of the Jinshi Calligraphy and Painting Society in the city.

Dual Reflection on Life and Spirit
——Impressions of Zhao Guohui's Works

Zhao Huiguo's "Pillow Book Dreams" series is a typical example of contemporary literati painting breaking through the topic with "shallow language, deep heart" - using naive brushstrokes to connect the core of traditional painting theory of "writing the spirit with form". In the common visual narrative, it hides a dual perspective on life and spirit.

He makes good use of the metaphor of things, such as turning books into stone steps, which is in line with Zheng Banqiao's freehand logic of "the intention lies in the pen, the rule is also established". He condenses the interest of "reading to see the world" into the naive state of children climbing walls with books; The unfinished image of the ladder echoes Shi Tao's "dissimilarity" with the phrase "incomplete in form but full in meaning", blending the philosophy of "completion before perfection" into the uneven texture of the wooden ladder.

These works do not have the carefree and desolate style of traditional literati painting, but continue the context of "painting as a seal of the heart": the person pushing the stone goes from hard work to calmness, which is a contemporary translation of "the painter, the pinnacle of literature" - turning the daily insights of "repeated practice of wisdom" into tangible visual rhythms; The leisurely reading of books under the curtain, with the pen meaning of "leisurely looking at clouds and contemplating people", continues the spirit of Ni Zan's "leisurely writing, chatting and writing with the breath of breath in the chest", but with the fireworks of teapots and glasses, makes the "breath of breath" a spiritual dwelling for contemporary people.

The questioning of "starting with uneven resources" further highlights the underlying theme of "carrying the message" in his painting - responding to Gu Kaizhi's proposition of "moving the imagination to perfection" with a straightforward visual contrast, hiding a gentle gaze on the essence of life in his childlike pen and ink.

Zhao Huiguo's paintings are a vivid example of "new literati painting": using daily life as ink, philosophical thinking as bone, and visual language that everyone can understand, the spirit of traditional painting theory has grown new tentacles in contemporary life.
