Fan Bo, born in Tianjin in March 1966, graduated from the Oil Painting Department of Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts in 1988, obtained a master's degree from the Oil Painting Graduate Program of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in 1995, and completed the first session of the Oil Painting Advanced Research Program at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2003. He currently serves as the dean of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, the vice president of China Oil Painting Society, a member of China Artists Association, and a doctoral candidate of the Central Academy of Fine Arts (2007 grade).
